In order to increase the production potential of the apicultural business unit UAG has decided to start up activities on the northern properties of UAG. For that reason we have transported 194 beehives to Yaguarí and Villa Lucero. We have planned to transport another 300 beehives in the near future.
The aim is to increase the number of beehives from 1.020 at the moment to 1.650 at the end of the year, produce more honey and related products, but also to establish our own pollinization services, which will lead to better pasture lands.
We will accommodate the beehives at Yaguarí where we have most natural woods. The flourishing of those woods during early spring creates ideal circumstances for our beehives.
