UAG has started the harvesting of soy beans on its farms. By mid April plants were mature enough for harvesting and climatic conditions were adequate for the start of operations. Farms currently in production are San Francisco, Yaguarí, Rincon de Las Pipas, El Tinto and Villa Lucero. Our harvesting includes both first and second round cropping. The difference being that first round soy beans are the first cultivation of the year on a certain parcel, whereas second round soy beans are seeded after wheat has been harvested as a winter crop.

In total 2.500 hectares will be harvested and we expect to finish after the first week of May. Although weather conditions during growth of the beans have not been optimal we foresee a very acceptable level of productivity on our farms.
